Media Continues to Defend Newsweek

The American Press will defend its own, but never its country.

Guantanamo probe finds five Koran mishandling cases

The MSM are really going out of their way in an attempt to legitimize the flagrant lie perpetuated by Newsweek last week. There is only one quote in this article that has any substance.

"I'd like you to know that we have found no credible evidence that a member of the Joint Task Force at Guantanamo Bay ever flushed a Koran down a toilet."

Oh the horror of it all!

Giving preliminary findings of a 12-day-old military inquiry into treatment of the Koran at Guantanamo, Hood said investigators turned up 13 allegations of mishandling the Koran, with five confirmed cases of "what could be broadly defined as mishandling of a Koran."

The Press drudges up 3 year old interviews with one detainee and calls it a story. This is clearly another attempt at the 'fake but accurate' defense on behalf of Newsweek.

I don't see the argument: They are guilty of waging war against us, murdering civilians, blowing up the World Trade Center, multiple beheadings, and much more. But no biggie. As many as five copies of the Koran (Quran, whatever) may have been 'mishandled'. This is blatant
excessive punishment! America is evil!

Seems like a stretch to me. Can we get some sense of proportion please?
