Linda Foley Outed in Toledo

Linda Foley finally gets some press, though only in Toledo, for her comments in which she said:

"It's not just U.S. journalists either, by the way. They target and kill journalists from other countries, particularly Arab countries, at news services like Al Jazeera, for example. They actually target them and blow up their studios, with impunity."

All the news that's fit to slur U.S.

Thank you, Jack Kelly. I have no clue as to who you are, but thank you anyway.

'Afterward, Newsweek engaged in public soul-searching about its use of anonymous sources. But the negligible attention given to a charge by the Newspaper Guild's head indicates the problem is much bigger than that.'

'Like Mr. Jordan, Ms. Foley offered no evidence to support her charges. The Chicago Sun Times, in a story by my friend Tom Lipscomb, was the nation's only paper to report what she said.'

'Apparently most journalists see nothing newsworthy about our union's head accusing, without evidence, our troops of war crimes. Papers prominently covered a hysterical report released Wednesday by Amnesty International accusing the United States of "atrocious" human-rights violations and calling Guantanamo Bay "the gulag of our times."'

Jack Kelly is right! Jack Kelly is in Toledo? Why does it take a medium market paper to pick this up? Why are Linda Foley’s comments not on the front page of the Washington Post and New York Times? Perhaps this is the beginning of something. We only need a few more papers to take up the cause and the fire will spread. Finally, someone in the press with a clue and the bravery to say what the others will not.

Update: Jack Kelly works for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. I'll keep up with him in the future. MaxedOutMama has some more good information on Linda Foley.
